Payroll & Overtime Reporting
Dear Workhorse Payroll Customer,
The most recent interpretation of the bill indicates that employees are responsible for reporting their overtime earnings during their year-end tax filing process. At that time, they may be eligible for a refund on any taxes paid on that income.
Workhorse is configured to include each employee’s total annual overtime earnings and hours on their final payroll voucher of the year. Employees should provide this voucher to their tax preparer along with their other year-end tax documents.
If your municipality interprets the law differently or wishes to track this in a specific way, please contact Workhorse — we are happy to discuss options.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need additional information!
