Security Patch Released – Version 1.9.4.48019 (Released July 9, 2025)

At Workhorse Software, we are committed to keeping your systems secure while maintaining the flexibility municipal IT teams rely on. On July 9, 2025, we released patch version 1.9.4.48019, which includes important security enhancements.

What’s New in This Patch
• Encrypted connection string storage
Database credentials are now securely stored in encrypted format, reducing the risk of exposure.
• Backup access restrictions
The ability for end users to directly save SQL backup ZIP files has been removed. Backup management is now handled through our support team to minimize potential misuse.

These changes are part of our continuing effort to strengthen Workhorse’s on-premises deployment model while supporting secure operations across municipal networks.
